Jaybs introduces a fundamentally new approach to eyeglass frame construction. By mounting the lens structure directly from the temples — with internal concavity, press-fit nose pads, and precision internal hinges — we eliminate the conventional front frame for the first time in over 300 years.

Internal Engineering

Internal concavity surrounds the temple for a secure mechanical fit. Nose pads press into holes in the eyeframe. The hinge is moved inside with 5x stopping area.

Precision Dimensions

From the May 2021 to July 2021 design iterations, every dimension was refined for optimal fit — temple arm thickness, earpiece curvature, and temple pad sizing.

Rounded lens profile with a timeless aesthetic. The gentle curvature complements the temple-mounted structure to create a balanced, organic silhouette.

Modern Jaybs

Squircle lens geometry — a rounded square — for a contemporary, architectural look. The precision of the squared edges harmonizes with the clean engineering of the frame system.
